Meet the maker
Hi, I'm Stacey
I'm a Phoenix mom, and Sent From Home started with my own son. When I sent him off for his freshman year, I knew I wouldn't be there for all the moments that matter, like finals week, birthdays and holidays away from home. So I mailed him a care package. Between dorm mailrooms and shipping, it felt more complicated and less personal than I wanted.
That's why I started Sent From Home: for parents who can't be there in person to hand their child a little love from home. Today that means college students here in the Valley, and missionaries serving in the Phoenix area, often hundreds or thousands of miles from the families who sent them. This is the next best thing.
I pack every box by hand at my kitchen table, and I deliver every one myself. For missionaries, I work directly with the mission office, so every box arrives the way the mission prefers. You'll know it got there, and that's one less thing for you to worry about.
My favorite part is the photo. Whenever I can, I take a picture of your student or missionary with their box and send it to you. That way you get to see their smile too, wherever you are.
When they open the box, I want it to feel like a letter from home: your words, a few favorite treats, and a reminder that someone's cheering them on.
